Outlining the terms of all services available will hopefully help clients and potential clients make a more informed buying decision when it comes to their business writing needs. The terms are as follows:
1. A contract, company purchase order, or letter of authorization is required for all assignments before the start of the project. 2. Unless otherwise stated, 50% of the total project cost is payable in advance with the balance due upon completion and delivery of the project. Full prepayment of the project fee can also be done to receive a discount on the project price. 3. On larger projects or services that exceed $5,000 only one third of the fees will be due in advance. The balance will be due upon completion and delivery of the project. 4. All consultation fees are payable in advance and in full based on the hourly rate and set minimum. 5. The client is responsible for extra expenses including long distance phone and fax charges, express services, non-local travel, postage, and all printing services. Any expenses will be provided to the client in detail. 6. It will be the client’s responsibility to provide graphics for layout/design services. If the client does not provide graphics for the assignment, an hourly rate will apply to find and/or design graphics. 7. It will be the client’s responsibility to assure that any graphics or writing that they provide for the project will be free of copyrights. All the Write Words does not assume responsibility of such items provided by the client. 8. While trying to accommodate clients as much as possible, there will be an additional fee for rush projects with a turnaround time of less than 72 hours. 9. All revisions must be assigned within 7 (seven) days of the client’s receipt of the copy or design. 10. Two revisions are offered free of charge during this 7 (seven) day period unless the revisions change the scope or content of the project, or if the changes are made to the project after the copy was submitted. 11. Any major change in the focus, scope, or content of the project (any rewrites not considered free revisions) after it has been assigned will be billed at an hourly rate or a flat rate fee added to the total project fee. 12. If for any reason the assigned project is canceled after it has been started, an hourly rate will apply on the the time expended to the cancellation point or the upfront retainer fee will be forfeited. 13. Discounted rates for full advance payment, non-profit organizations, and multiple projects may be available. 14. All the Write Words will own all copyrights to the assignment only until all fees are paid in full. Once paid, the copyrights will become the property of the client. |
